Stray Dog Awareness Program

As per the directions from Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sport, Government of India, all educational institutions were instructed to create awareness on Prevention of Dog Bytes and Management of Stray Dogs in and around the institutions and villages and homes. In this regard, an awareness program was conducted at our college premises.

Students were Made Aware of the Following

• Population Control rules – Sterilization, Vaccination & Funding to state-run veterinary facilities.
• Urban Hygiene and Waste Management – Timely garbage collection, Feeding of stray dogs in an identified feeding area away from population
• Institutional Safety Directives – Physical barriers, Fencing, Removal of aggressive dogs in to shelters, Vaccination sterilization for stray dogs
• Pet ownership – Mandatory registration, anti-abandonment laws and adoption incentives
• Emergency Actions - 24/7 helpline, Rabies prevention
